RAINBOWS & AIRPLANES

Colorful thoughts of a recessionista jetsetter wannabe

tumblrbot asked: ROBOTS OR DINOSAURS?

robots. much cooler than scary dinosaurs.

I was luckily granted with 2 passes for the finale show of Philippine Fashion Week 2012. It was Jerome Salaya Ang who presented his collection. I must say his show “Skin, Sin and Bones” gave me goosebumps. Ang galing! His creations were soooo nice and ethereal!

Watch the AVP here.

I was planning to wear an all black and sheer outfit that night but I decided to go for a conservative, classic look. I put on my LBD that I got from Tomato on sale for PHP 350, and my favorite blazer in light brown with leopard details on the sleeves.

Would you believe I got this nice blazer for less than PHP 200 from an ukay-ukay shop in Marikina? Yes, I did! Hindi na ako nagdalawang-isip na bilhin. It’s a super duper nice deal.  I always get surprised looks from friends whenever they ask me where I got this chic blazer.

Tip for ukay-ukay shopping: Be patient. As much as possible, check every item on the rack.

I got the shoes from Charles and Keith. It’s kinda costly at almost PHP 3,000 but it is quite considered as an investment. I have used it a number of times and truly, you can never go wrong with black.

Oh gosh I also saw Bianca Gonzales, up close. Wiii! I didn’t get the chance to have my picture taken with her, though. But I was glad I had my photos with Bianca Valerio and Ford supermodels Danica Magpantay and Charo Ronquillo.

A big thanks to Teresa Herrera for the passes I won. How did I win? I just posted a photo of what I will wear for PhFW as what she has tweeted, and Voila! 2 free passes!

CHRISTA WHO?

Hello! I am Christa. I am a young soul who likes dressing up and travelling. I am also a fan of some fashion and travel blogs that’s why I thought of creating my own.

Disclaimer: I am not really into writing and this is my first time to blog.
I put up this blog to cater to all who are fond of fashion but wants to stick on a tight budget. Kuripot din ako. I am not really into branded clothes. I shop mostly on tiangges and ukay-ukay. Yes, you read it right. Ukay-ukay.

Ako rin ay isang lakwatsera. But I travel on a tight budget. Suki ako ng promo o piso fare. I will be sharing my travel experiences, tips and photos.

So brace yourself and follow the journey of a recessionista jetsetter wannabe.
